In this review, both the research career of Professor Dumer Mamian and his academic function within the University of Nariño are commented on in a critical and exalting way, within the framework of his recognition as an Emerita Researcher, a category granted in a limited and representative way by Colciencias in Colombia and that exalts in his name not only the Iadap but the entire university community
